About the project

This concept emerged from work I did for one of my LA clients through Colin Is My Name. The client was a t-shirt startup, and I created a bunch of hand-drawn illustrations for them in their early days. That company didn’t do as well as they’d hoped and was eventually shut down, but the print-on-demand t-shirt world was emerging around that same time, so I decided to give it a go, myself.

Using those new tools and platforms, I was able to create strange little drawings, apply them to shirts, and make a lot of options available in my online shop without holding inventory or having to handle any of the shipping (or other logistics).

I retired this project when the market got too crowded and it no longer justified the requisite time and attention, but it was a lot of fun while it was feasible.
