About the project
I sieve a large library of online content each week, select roughly forty of the most useful or surprising links, and share them with subscribers in a few different formats.
The subject matter ranges from science and technology to relationships, art, work, history, and odd corners of culture. I currently publish AG five times a week and (as of mid-2026) have published around 1,500 editions.

An earlier version of the curated link concept that started as an email, became a web page, then evolved into a web app, before eventually becoming Aspiring Generalist.

A variation on this concept that became the Sunday edition of Aspiring Generalist.

Never Not Curious
This was the original brand for Aspiring Generalist, and it gobbled up Curiosity Weekly before being retired in favor of the current nomenclature (I still really like how the curious cat logo turned out, though).

Climate Happenings
I curated links about future technologies, renewables, medicine, and climate change in the CH newsletter before folding it into AG as the Wednesday-published, Aspiring Generalist: Future newsletter.

Notes on the News
This was initially a spin-off of Let’s Know Things, but I eventually folded it into AG as the Thursday-sent Aspiring Generalist: News email. I ultimately retired that section amid a wave of news exhaustion (for me and AG’s subscribing audience).

You Probably Don’t Need
I began this as an essay project about consumption and minimalism, turned it into a curation newsletter focused on the same category, and then expanded a bit (in terms of subject matter) to become Aspiring Generalist: Consumption.
