About the project
Each episode centers on a current event and works outward through the history, systems, incentives, and terminology needed to understand it. The aim is to explain rather than persuade, giving listeners enough information and context to reach their own conclusions.
I’ve researched, written, narrated, and produced the show every week since June 2016, and bonus episodes for paid subscribers that go out once a month. As of September 2026, the archive contains more than 600 episodes.

I tested this offshoot as a home for written, podcast, and video explainers rather than analysis, but it felt superfluous (I could accomplish similar outcomes with LKT) so I didn’t move it to a full launch.
