About the project
I started Stim at nineteen and ran it alongside my university-era school work and design studio, 2 and 2 is 5. The 5-by-8-inch magazine featured local artists, writers, musicians, and thinkers in a format small enough to carry around.
Ads sold to local businesses covered print costs, and I (and a small team of fellow university students) organized issue launches, creative gatherings, and get-out-the-vote events around it.
