About the project
I built MKE Meetups to make it easier for people to find their people. Recurring clubs, classes, and activity-oriented groups are scattered across social accounts, event platforms, and bulletin boards across the city, so I gather and verify them, then make them browsable as a list, map, calendar, and weekly email.
The project has more than 1,400 subscribers as of mid-2026, and I hand-curate more than 2,000 meetup listings annually.

I started this newsletter about doing things in real life as an offshoot of MKE Meetups, then folded it after it failed to find enough traction (people generally know they need to do more things in person: it’s finding the right things—and then forcing oneself out the door—that can be tricky).
